What Is the Problem With China's Housing Market?

The 2007, 2008 financial crisis and then the subsequent Eurozone crisis was actually part of what shifted more of the emphasis on to housing in China. In most developed economies, you're looking at about 60% of the economy coming from consumer spending. That number is only up to about 38%. Yeah, that's tough. You have very high taxes. You have a lot of financial oppression. For example, China's equity markets are very volatile and its interest rates in banks were capped very low. It would take more than 10 years for them to pull themselves out of that hole unless they somehow. Figure out a way to create more, more value in the country,. Not just wealth, right?
