The Challenges of Working With Data in the Mental Health Space

The UK biobank data set has about half a million participants and all sorts of information on mental illness contained in clinical records. Dr Gordon: We haven't been able to clearly define the set of biological psychological social factors that are in common between individuals carrying the same diagnosis. So we've looked for alternate ways to study the brain, and what goes wrong with the brain and mental illness using different descriptors.
