There's a lot of interesting history about baby naming rituels, not just for boys, but for girls too. The only person who actually ever celebrates a birthday in the bible is pharaoh. But today you have that kind of simrabat celebrating the naming of and the birth of a girl. Having a couple of girls myself, we've had our fair share of those, it's pretty fun.
