Like Solaris aliens it's also just a very different sort of... Yeah, they're very different. But they're also operating in a totally different kind of plane. So all of their rubbish sort of becomes these miraculous objects. And also them having touched the ground sort of like changes the laws of physics and things around. It's all very hypothetical but it becomes this zone of strange and inexplicable wonders. That's the setup that Stalker started off being. In the middle of the zone there's a room where wishes come true. That's kind of the setup. A significant part of the film had to be remade because of errors in the exposure of the negatives.
