The Problem With the Laws of Space
Many of the laws that we currently use for space are still based on the ones we use for international waters. United Nations Convention laws of the sea are agreed by most countries. But they are not in any way legally binding out there. Just from last year, when the Russians invaded Ukraine, they knocked out a third of the Ukrainian internet. Does that make star-links satellites a legitimate military target for Russia? There is no answer to that because there are no real laws about that.
