Mathematicians such as al arismi would build upon the work of the classical world experts by taking mathematical ideas on to a more advanced level. By re vamping the numerical system to a decimal system that had an individual symbol for each number from zero to nine, advanced calculations were made more practical. It would be after this period that a form of this decimal system would filter through the margrabe and across the mediterranean to alandelus where it would eventually be adopted by europeans.
