The Telephone Newspaper, 1880
There was an earlier thing called the theatrophone in a young 81. It transmitted music, but also some teatrical productions over the phone. The longest running, most successful version of mass entertainment biaphone is the telephone newspaper which ran from 18 93 to 19 forty four. Twain wanted street lights to be connected to it, which would play the funeral march during his funeral.
