The Rite of Spring
The reception to Debussy's piece was generally positive. Composers from backgrounds as diverse as Berg, Stravinsky, Boulez were enraptured by the colors and textures found within it. There are very few pieces that get such a wide variety of interpretations and reimagines as this one. You will never hear the fawn the same way twice. A quality that I'm sure Debussy would have appreciated.
