The Difference Between System One and System Two Thinking
Dan Kahneman was the first non-economist to win the Nobel Prize in economics. He says we have a system one type of thinking and a system two type of thinking. We use our slow deliberative brain to justify our intuitions, he says. But as Arnold Klink says, we don't have to have our system two brain be a lawyer that's justifying our actions.
