"We lived in a house in the middle of town and then it was adjacent usually to a Iraqi military base. And so there, we're like the deep inside perimeter. We had several rings and, you know, at that house, we used to get hit maybe at least once a week, if not more," he says. "You battle until they stopped. So you just kept going until it was over."
