Foucault's Political Awakening in Tunisia
Foucault claims in interviews and some that it was actually the political activities that his students were engaged in in Tunisia that was the political awakening for him. He says it's the student protests there against heavy vogivas regime that were really important to him. And he, when he comes back to France in 69, he doesn't go back to Glenon-Voron but he's part of this new experimental university of Van Sam. You get this sense of kind of let's put all of the difficult academics in one sense; they can teach different types of topics.
