Diane's Discovery of the Quartering Winds
Diane Hartley did talk to a junior engineer at LeMeasures New York office named Joel Weinstein. She showed him her calculations but didn't feel that she had put her finger on a major problem. Even David Bellington, who had told Diane to look into the quartering winds in the first place, didn't think there was any imminent threat. But somehow Diane's discovery got silently passed up the totem pole within LeMeasure's firm.
