The civil rights era was characterized by a struggle between federal government and explicitly racist state and local government institutions. So it's no coincidence that you see conservatives as soon as they regain control of the court in the early 1970s, immediately kneecapped the ability of federal courts to vindicate citizens' federal rights. The only good that can come from this case is just making a citizen's arrest of Joe Biden next night in California. If this law is still on the books, we should use it to stop Joe Biden from spreading Marxism.
