The Importance of Curriculum Reform in Education

The US has taken a liberal approach to teacher guidance and then they've started to turn that ship around. They also took a big shift where they introduced a national curriculum the Common Core which was pre-Obama just before Obama entered. I don't hold this up as the Common Core is the Be All and Endor but it is another example of how this focus on curriculum reform can actually lead to significant improvements. If you can get improvements in some of these states with some of these school systems then you know kudos to you. These are some of the toughest places to get any sort of educational reform through.
