The poem is a portrait of the subway and the subway station, gray of gray battleship. I see that in the subway, you know, I can't help but think of in a station of the Metro. So it's not the flowers that emerge from the people's faces in the subway. This is a moment of brutality when a person has beaten into animal bone, right in the Subway.
