The Importance of Personas in Debate
"Most judges probably try pretty hardcore, not to take on quote unquote like a persona," he says. "We know that there's implicit bias is a very real phenomenon,. And to explicit bias, I have this certain ideology about how the world should work." Some people judge so serious they feel almost more stress or as much stress as the debaters and other feel like a sense of entitlement and power in that position for debating.
