The Importance of Relational Equity in Transitions
I think it's critical that with every transition, especially the transitions I've had to new communities and churches, of course you need to build trust. You need to build relational equity. But you have to start seeing yourself as a part of them. We love this adversarial positioning. This always got to be some opposition. And because in order for me to be right, I can't be on your side. So something's got to be wrong with you Because that's the only way that I can be validated is right. That's right. And I cannot help you. I can't being one with you. Right. "We'll always debate who's the greatest," he says.
