Sulla makes a few calculated provocations against his old commander, gaius marius. He suggests that it was he, sulla, who deserved credit for the ugurtha victory. In 91 b c, after many attempts by progressive politicians to bring them into the fold, several major italian peoples decide they are fed up and revolt. It's now called the social war. Social from the latin word socius, which means ally. And we talked more about the social war and the life of marius.
