Noah: I have just found it to be a really good way for me to test my mental strength and to gain mental strength. That comes through the process of being disciplined and training, being disciplined on runs when I want to stop, but I keep going. And then just obviously during races, just pushing to the point way past what most people would believe to be the point of complete physical and mental exhaustion has taught me so much about myself. You cannot just pull that shit out of your ass. The want to do something is not enough. You have to be obsessed with getting it done and you have to put yourself in situations where you can fail.
