What Is the Constructiveness of Circumcision?

There are lots of ancient civilizations and indigenous tribes that have practised it, some of them without ever having made contact with each other. There's this weird paradoxical thing where it seems intimately connected with this uniquely human need to mark in somehow the difference between male and female. And there's all kinds of a symbolic links that get made between circumcision and the blood of sion and menstral blood. If you look at a some of the fantasies that were circulating around jews being somehow lesser than and feminize jewish men as a result of their ecision.
