C++ Performance Optimization

We're talking orders of magnitude here right i mean that is a different order of magnitude um but anyways we're that roughly we're talking about a percentage yeah or less. Andre Alexandrescu uh gave a great talk a few years ago at where when he was still working at Facebook and he talked about the impact of some performance optimizations that got like a 2 to 3 percent improvement across core Facebook code. you went from 0.05 to plus or minus 1Yeah I'm rounding up okay from five basis points to i will i will We'll be able to opt out of almost everything in C++ there'll be some compiler flag where you'll be ableto opt out of it.
