The Importance of Being a Photographer
I was working at Palantir and realized we didn't have any good photos of what was going on. So literally it was a matter of recruiting for our startup. I taught myself how to do DSLR photography just in the evenings, like in the cracks between coding and creating PRD specs. And then I just got really hooked. But I'm sort of lucky that I did go to startup school because that put me on a different path.
