There is this Jacksonian impulse in American foreign policymaking on a populist level that says, we don't care about what you do in your own country. What's wrong with that theory? Well, of course, that if you will, flies in the face of the, what is it, the pottery barn? Right. The colon pack, I tell that you break it, you own it. And we owned it. But can we just say, here, we just broke it, you fix it yourselves, we don’t care. Just leave us alone?"
