The First Recording of Sari by Bix Biderbeck
The first recording, as far as I know anyway, was by Bix Biderbeck and his gang in 1927. Then we followed that up with Sari, which was a tune written by Howdy Quicksell, the banjo player, and Raymond Klagas in 1927.
