The Bitcoin legal defense fund was founded by Jack Dorsey, Alex Morcos and Martin White to fight back against a lawsuit. Craig Wright sued a group of Bitcoin core devs who he believes might not be able to adequately defend themselves. The fund is here to fight back; we provide funding, litigation strategy, and serve as de facto in-house counsel for these 13 developers. These cases are more fundamentally an attack on open source software and basics rights that are as fundamental as freedom of speech.
