What Does Fattering Look Like?

If there's a level of fattering, then it's not possible to get out of the fattering without making a more substantive transition away from capitalism. So all of the usual gimmicks that would be deployed in a period when capitalism is working normally to restore growth or restore dynamism wouldn't be working. And so capitalist firms would just start not hiring very large numbers of human beings. Now maybe governments would try to prop people up with something like Andrew Yang style universal basic income. But this would enable them to stay alive, right? I can imagine a world after some kind of universal basic income has been created below one per cent and doesn't really emancipate people but keeps them around
