Deferred happiness syndrome is a common feeling that your life has not begun. People tend to focus their attention onto the future and to this sort of imaginary paradise where they'll be in the future, when they're just when they've achieved X and Y. So I think the solution is to understand that your life is actually happening now. It's not in your hopes or memories; it's happening at the moment now. And so if you want to avoid this kind of deferred happiness syndrome, you have to understanding that your problem is not going to be happening in the future.
