I owe a lot to boxing. Boxing was a sport that could break down all the barriers. Everything. We were able to go down any road. If you had a pair of boxing gloves on, you could drive into the Shankar in the worst sectarian place. That was your license. So when we went that night and boxed in the Shankar, the atmosphere was incredible. We beat these Germans. I battered this guy and never left him alone. He was five foot eleven and a half and he weighed eight stone seven. But the crowd went bonkers and I'll never forget it. And Club Sound were a band and dad, my dad was obviously a great singer and a great musician
