The Ship of Fools
In 1929, the Soviet Union gathered some of its greatest intellectuals, philosophers and thinkers and pretty much literally ship them out of the country. They were not supporters of the communist and socialist revolutions. The bottom line is that somehow they weren't good for the regime. And many of them I know because my work on Alexander Dugan has acquainted me with the original Eurasianists who were exiled under those circumstances.
