Godner's Hermeneutics - What Motivates You?
For Godner, hermeneutics allows us to never forget that quote history does not belong to us. Long before we understand ourselves through the process of self-examination, we understand ourselves in a self-evident way in the family, society, and state in which we live. So I'd like to know, so this jump between method and determining or dictating the ends of the world, there is something really extreme in that leap for me. But he thinks if we rigorously understand ourselves as you're really circumscribed and formed by history, what comes with that is a type of humility that's necessary for engaging in the dialogue of social life.
