Averuis's Paraphrase of Averus Todil's on the Soul
In his epitome of Aristotle's On the Soul, Averuis expresses his admiration for Ibn Baja's interpretation and basically adopts it himself. The idea was that the intellect can take on any form, because all things are thinkable. Upon further reflection, though, he decided he could not accept Ibn Baja’s teaching. This time he adopts something more like the view we find in Al-Farrabi and Evacenna. Each human has their own material intellect which is a power free of connection to the body.
