Can you think of a way that E. coli could cause scarring of the kidney that does not go through neutrophilsYeah we've learned more about this process and realized that it's macrophages that set off the neutrophils but the final common pathway appears to be the pyureth  the neutrophils eating up the kidney causing this inflammatory response.
