We don't need to worry about russia because it has a second rate economy. The demographic the most remarkable thing about russian demographics is the difference in longevity between men and women. Oil and gas are going to remain very important and very rich sources of revenue for russia no matter who is in power. Yes, eventually they will be displaced but as maynard keen said, by then, we'll all be dead.
