The Importance of Having a Narrator in a Film
Dan Wells: If you want your audience member to feel like, oh, my gosh, I'm in the middle of the battle. Then having no narrator is great because you're just hearing swords and screaming and dying. But if you want them to actually be able to figure out who stabbed who with the what to call it, then maybe you need the narrator. He says that using a lack of narration can become a really valuable tool if you think of it in those ways. Dan Wells: So now it's time for your homework.
