The Early Days of the Library of Congress
The Library is actually part of the legislative branch of the US government. It's mainly for when Congress members have a question, it's like their version of the internet, basically. They buy Thomas Jefferson's collection of books and he had more than 6,000. He had like 6,500 different works and they continued growing,. but their problems did not end there. The fire was a clear and present danger at all times.
