Symptoms and Treatment of Interstitial Lung Abnormality

Central lobular nodularity is a typical manifestation of smoking-related respiratory bronchiolitis. Ground glass abnormalities sometimes occur in the dependent lung, especially when inspiration is suboptimal. An additional prone CT scan is helpful for differentiating dependent adelectasis from an interstitial lung abnormality. Ultra-load OCT with use of iterative reconstruction is not recommended because the interstitial findings might be obscured by this technique.
