Author Raoul has talked about how there are elements of Park and of Eleanor and Park's relationship with each other that is like drawn from her own, like neighborhood and upbringing. There was a 2014 post that I read on the blog, Rich in Color, written by Jessica Yang that captured some of the concerns. So I don't think we need to, in a podcast about an entirely separate book, retrospectively pick apart every racist bit of what was in Eleanor and Park. But I did because we just totally did not talk about it last time. Wanna bring it up this time?
