The job of the fed right now is to show that they can bring inflation down, both technically and politically. He needs to assure people and give them confidence. But i think we really need to not let congress and the executive branch off the hook on the rest of economic policy. It's their job to think hard about whatl we do to make a work and economic likeat life, attractive to everybody.
