The DRC Is a Biodiverse Country

The Congo Basin is home to the second largest rainforest in the world. The DRC contains 107 million hectares or 264 million acres - one-eighth the size of the United States. It's a massive amount of tropical rainforest containing well-known fauna such as elephants, mountain gorillas and ocopies. Despite its vast natural beauty, he says the region isn't seen as attractive for researchers or leisure tourism.
