The Importance of Safety in Birthing Centers

There's a major, major big study that found that the rates are comparable to what you might expect to find at a hospital in terms of mortality. Safety can depend on the ways in which the midwives are trained or the things that they're able to do at a birth center. And so it's a little bit challenging with all of this to make really blanket statements because both maternal health care landscape and our midwifery landscape is pretty fragmented in the US.
