One of the big problems is when they bring forward allegations against somebody within their national sports organization. Abuse does not happen without enablers and let me be explicit about our flawed system that covers up and enables abuse as well as re-victimizes athletes who come forward. Too often, it ends up being a situation where the organization says there's not enough evidence and they move on from there. You have to really believe the survivors and make sure that they feel safe competing in these environments.
