Is There a Difference Between Scarcity and Abundance?
i think a big problem that we actually have in society is just one of it's weird, cause it seems like simultaneously we have problems of both scarcity and abundance. And perhaps there those things are not as opposite as it might seem. It's almost like things have been so materially good for a while. There haven't been the massive sort of global struggles that humans of the past would have constantly been dealing with. I worry that this leads people to have these kind of unrealistic expectations about what a real life relationship would look like. We know from the data on people not having as much sex until they're in their thirties or early forties, that people are basically treating intimate sexual relationships
