The germans were well supplied and allowed a ton of freedom, much like the us. If something didn't work, ok, your junior leaders could then change the plan on te y. It wasn't so to heavy that small unit leadership became impossible. The losses the germans were experiencing in men, material and everything else, was higher than even the worst, notsy fever dream in their worst case o they dreamed up for their invasion.
