Do You Have a Diction Problem?
The chances are much better than average that your loved one is going to resolve these problems in time. The question that you can ask that typically does not arouse defensiveness and might lead to a very productive question a discussion, is the question "What do you like about drinking?" You need to be non judgmental and actively listening. And keeping in mind that probably this is going to work out ok even without treatmentis useful to keep in mind.
