The Story of Vincent Van Gogh
In 1879 Vincent becomes a missionary in the coal mining region of Borenage in Belgium, about 90 kilometers southwest of Brussels. He gives away all his possessions and even his lodgings to the needy, he moves to a tiny hut where he sleeps on the straw-covered floor. It is a commitment he takes to messianic extremes. But for him simply preaching from the pulpit is not sufficient. "He just showed time and again his inability to deal with other people"
