We need to focus on giving value to the other person first. If we do that, we make those small deposits, you know, $2, $3 at a time. Another thing we can do is recognize people for the value in their advice. And as we add more value, we can get more information about them.
Austin shares a new way to think about networking. You wouldn’t try to withdraw money from your bank account until after you make a deposit, so why are you asking for a favor from a stranger before providing some value to them?
