The Importance of Uphill Simulation
The main inspiration for the game at the very beginning was skiing Eighty Mountain. Saint Blairecraft Go was the big inspiration on the visual side. The animations that actually sell the feeling of riding a bike. We didn't want to have an accurate physics simulation which is really hard to do like by physics are really complicated and on the other hand that wasn't what we were interested in. It's not a realistic movement but it's very responsive and then it's the animations that actually sells the feeling of ride a bike.
