The Importance of Mindfulness in Binge Eating
When the binge eating and emotional eating is something that's really interfering with our overall quality of life a really important step is to start tuning into you know what's going on in the moment before we make that decision. Research has shown that eating disorders and other substance use disorders or other disorders that people may turn to to seek comfort tend to travel together. Is genetics play a risk at all and a person's risk for binge eating specifically getting that disorder or is that completely a by product of someone's upbringing or trauma that they've been experiencing in their life? We do see a lot of commonalities that there are triggers and this becomes a way of dealing with those triggers specific to trauma.
