Stress is healthy for the body because it helps it adapt and grow stronger. But if we get too much stress, then it has the exact opposite effect. We call it alostatic load, and it sterts to weaken the body, damaging it. And so when you have psychological stress plus like intense exercise stress, it could potentially tip you over into that bad stress zone where you don't want to be.
