Do I Need to Screen for Opioid Use Disorder?

When should we ask about and test for opioid use? Sure. What are the clues either for an outpatient practice or when someone's admitted to my service in the hospital? We don't want to miss the opportunity to identify an OUD and offer evidence-based treatment because we have incredibly effective treatments that are life-saving.
